Inspiring.

This book caught my eye - Half the Sky: Turning Oppression into Opportunity for Women Worldwide - and made me stop and think.



Oh, I would really like to read it - I find even just the name of it is inspiring. From my time at Uni, it became so clear that poverty has a women's face. And the poorest of the poor are most often women. I am committed to working alongside poor, disadvantaged women; and any woman eager to transform their lives. As a women, I can see I have such an important role in uplifting, empowering, encouraging and inspiring others.

I feel a book like this can inspire me to continue to invest in others, to use my passions, skills and love to help turn oppression into opportunity.
