Mending.

This afternoon I was able to finally mend my skirt which had become unwearable. Oh, I loved it but the fabric on the inside had just fallen apart. Until now I hadn't found any suitable replacement fabric - so this skirt has been sitting in the craft room waiting to be fixed - but just this week I discovered the perfect fabric through the fabric donations at Green Collect! Here is the finished product - originally the fabric behind was a burn orange silk, and as you can see it's now a natural toned floral. It was so important to act on mending this skirt while I felt enthusiastic... I know for me, my creative ideas and inspirations are truly good when I do something with them and put them into action!

Ah, I'm so glad I can wear my skirt again - I love mending!
